Review rating: 4/5

Date of visit: July 2017

This was my fourth hotel stop as part of an 8-island Greek holiday. Compared to some of the other accommodation, Livadia Hotel was on the cheaper side, so I went in with pretty low expectations. The rooms are small and fairly basic, but clean and functional. My balcony overlooked the back of the town so not great views, but that wasn’t really an issue for me as I was only staying for two nights.

The staff are really friendly here. I arrived early and my room wasn’t ready but they gave me the key to drop off my case and get changed so I could go off and meet some friends.

The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from the ferry port, so it’s at the quieter end of Paros town but there are restaurants close by (including next door) and supermarkets just down the road, so it’s not out of the way at all.

My booking was room only, but for €7.50 I got their breakfast deal: tea/coffee, fresh orange juice, bread and jam, and Greek yoghurt and honey. It was probably the best breakfast of my entire holiday so I highly recommend it.

I can’t really think of anything negative about my stay. For the price I paid, the level of amenities and space in the room was as expected. The great staff and an excellent breakfast option made it an enjoyable part of my trip.

I’m not sure I’d want to stay more than a few days though, because I’d rather pay a bit more for a bigger room with more facilities. For a short stay, it’s a really nice place and great value.

Don’t buy ferry tickets in advance.
